Cruises with Kingsway are relaxed affairs. Endeavour is a classic sailing yacht with up to 4 crew berths available in two cabins - two single berths in the forepeak and a single berth in the midships port-side cabin, plus a pilot berth in the saloon. The skipper has his own berth aft. All bedding is provided.
A typical day will start at 8am with breakfast on board, followed by a passage brief and then slipping from our overnight berth and heading to the next port of call. We will try to sail with or across the wind rather than into it. This gives a faster and more comfortable sail. We will have lunch underway and aim to reach our new harbour by 4pm. We will stay alongside overnight and then either move on again the next day or stay for some sight seeing and either a second night in harbour or a short sail to our next port of call. Cruising is about seeing and experiencing new places as well as sailing the boat. There will be opportunities for night sailing and longer stops at interesting ports if desired.
Cruises with Kingsway will best suit people who enjoy sailing and visiting new places. Everyone on board will play their part in crewing the yacht and getting her to the destination. Crew can expect to spend around 4 hours "on watch" (helping to sail the boat) in any 12 hour period. Everyone will also take their turn as cook and washer-upper.
